The U.S.-Israel Business Initiative (USIBI) is the premier business advocacy organization, established in 2010, whose aim is to deepen two-way trade and strengthen commercial ties between the United States and Israel.
USIBI Hosts Israeli Finance Minister, Dr. Yuval Steinitz
Washington, D.C.—January 7, 2013: The U.S.-Israel Business Initiative hosted Israeli Finance Minister Dr. Yuval Steinitz for a luncheon and discussion at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on January 7, 2013. Dr. Steinitz discussed Israel’s strategy of combating the effects of the global recession by encouraging economic growth through policies designed to promote private sector investment, support entrepreneurship, and emphasize the importance of advanced education in science and technology. During a question and answer session following Dr. Steinitz’s presentation, the Finance Minister fielded questions from attendees. Also attending the event was Jose W. Fernandez, United States Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs.
National Security Trade Mission to Israel

The U.S.-Israel Business Initiative and National Security & Emergency Preparedness Department hosted a National Security Trade Mission to Israel from Nov. 11-14, 2012. Led by U.S. Chamber Senior Vice President of International Affairs, Myron Brilliant, Secretary of Homeland Security, The Hon. Tom Ridge, and U.S. Chamber Vice President, National Security & Emergency Preparedness Department, Ann M. Beauchesne, this mission provided companies with a unique opportunity to meet and network with senior Israeli government officials and business executives on key homeland security, cyber security, border security, and trade facilitation issues. The delegation met with President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and a number of Israeli cabinet officials.
